The Adolescent Program is designed to assist teenagers with the following:

  • Poor impulse control
  • Self-harm or thoughts of self-harm
  • Depression, sadness, hopelessness
  • Mood instability
  • Auditory or visual hallucinations
  • Persistent worry or panic attacks
  • Anxiety
  • Hyperactivity
  • Hypervigilance
  • Paranoia or delusions
  • Substance Use

The program serves adolescents (ages 13-17) experiencing an acute psychiatric crisis in which his or her behavior jeopardizes safety or in which he or she experiences severe deterioration in ability to function. The goal of the program is to stabilize the crisis and to help the adolescent and family embrace the hope of recovery.

Patients and families or referring professionals can call SUN 24/7 to schedule a no cost assessment. Adolescents can be assessed and admitted directly to SUN.
